The latest issue of the Journal of Spirituality, Leadership and Management (JSLaM) has been released. The issue addresses the issue of mindfulness. You can read all the articles within this website. Editor-in-Chief Claire Jankelson’s editorial describes the papers and discusses the response we had to the call for papers on mindfulness. We think we have just begun the exploration of this aspect of spirituality in the work of leadership and management, and the papers in this issue will whet your appetite.
These are the papers:
Amanda Sinclair: “Possibilities, purpose and pitfalls: Insights from introducing mindfulness to leaders”
Peter McGhee and Patricia Grant: “The influence of managers’ spiritual mindfulness on ethical behaviour in organisations”
Allan Kaplan: “An MA degree in reflective social practice: Developing a social sensibility”

We have already had enquiries about submitting papers for the next issue. If you have an idea or a proposal for a paper you would like to discuss with Claire, contact her at editor@slam.org.au

This looks like a really interesting issue, especially with the focus on how mindfulness fits into real leadership and workplace situations. I like that the papers talk about both the benefits and the challenges, not just the positive side. The link between mindfulness and ethical behaviour in organizations is also something many workplaces need to think about. Looking forward to reading the articles and learning more from this topic.
