Spirituality, Leadership and Management (SLaM Inc) is incorporated as an association in New South Wales under the Associations Incorporation Act 2010, although its activities have extended around Australia.
SLaM Inc has taken up the mission of the previous organisation, SLaM Network Limited, that was formed in 2000 and which voluntarily deregistered as a company in 2005. The current organisation commenced in 2008 when a group of people in Sydney resolved to re-establish regular activities that focus around the issues that emerge when the concept of spirituality is brought into the spheres of leadership and management.
The management committee consists of: President, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer and three ordinary members. The management committee is elected at the Annual General Meeting following the end of the financial year (30 June). The management committee may appoint sub-committees for various purposes, consisting of members of the association, to deal with publications, conferences, other events or other matters.
The current members of the Management Committee are shown on the Management Committee page.
Currently, the main activity of SLAM Inc is the continuance of the Journal of Spirituality, Leadership and Management, headed by Editor-in-Chief, Claire Jankelson.
Constitution
The Constitution of the association is based on the model constitution in the Associations Incorporation Act 2010.
